Depth of Winter
The best part of winter is the deep freeze. The air temperature is so cold that the near freezing water gives steam that whips across the lake. It is awe inspiring. If you ever find your place in a place where the temperature is below 0F and there's open water, you must bundle up and venture out. You'll never look at water the same way again.
